As of a week from TODAY, I will have been in Korea for two months!!! I know to some, its like so what, two weeks? No biggie? Come walk in my shoes and youll totally understand why im so incredibly stoked! Its been about two months since ive blogged. So I will try my best to bring you up to speed with my life in Korea!
Ok so arrival to Bravo Battery was......a mother fucker! Im a delta in an entirely bravo battery. The first 10 secs I was in the barracks I got the dogshit smoked out of me. "Private whats your mos?" "13d chief" "fucking drop private! Beat your fucking face- fdc trash!" That continued for that entire week, It totally wasnt looking good for me at all. But once I improcessed, and was able to get into the routine, that shit stopped *(thank god)*
Hmm what else? Oh my section, first platoon FDC is the shit. No joke, we have some really cool people, There is Rumbaugh, Lymberopolis, Merfeld, Konys, Tong(humvee driver), St. Charles(ace), Spc Lee-(cheif....pos). Ive gotten tight with Merfeld, Ace, and Rumbaugh. We all have a similar since of humar, and dislike for "certain things" Rumbaugh's a guy from texas with daughter, and an amazing dr jekyl/hyde when he drinks. it cracks me up. True story: the weekend before he left, he got drunk went out and bought the ugliest poop brown suit in the world. It was sized for Biggy Smalls. This thing hung off of him like a potato sack. He came to my room, with the suit jacket, vest, elastic tie(i know right), with no button up or undershirt, saying "Let's go party!" Sad part was he was 100percent serious.... But he pcs'd out and now is going to Ft Carson.
Merfeld is the Alaskan, hes blood is pure(lol his family is german), hes got a baby that looks exactly like him... no joke. And hes been a great help for me since ive been here. ive hung out with him more than anyone. When we are together, Frualine is the most used word for any person we see.. of coarse in a thick fake as hell german accent.
St. Charles: Chuck or Ace as I have named him, is a dark sarcastic little fella, that looks like a really short jason biggs (American Pie), hes from Flint, and is into video games and movies just like myself, hes a good guy at heart, but masked by sarcasm and solitude. Hes married. I call him ace because we tease him about being emo, and needing an ACE card(suicide card). Good peoples.
Those are the three that you can find me hanging out with anyday of the week/end. Ok I wont go into every day for the past few months, but big events, have been as follows. Pt here is fucking insane running 6 miles at a 7 minute pace in high altitude is absolutely ridiculous, but we do it 3 days a week. We had our first field problem, and it was super exciting to actually do my job, we are preparing for a mass brigade fires later this year!!! I cant even imagine a whole brigade of artillery letting lose! Camp Hovey is a hole, Korea is a beautiful place. The mountains, sunshine, and people. All are incredibly beautiful, but it's a different type of place. Limited or no technology, poverty on an EPIC scale. Shopping like you wouldnt believe right outside the gates. you can find ANYthing in TDC, absolutely anything! Let's see, our battery is the blacksheep of the battalion, we have more chapters out of the army than anywhere else. People try to fight first sgt, and bc. Its nuts how many retards we have. Speaking of which I lost my wallet with mil id card...=big fucking disaster to fix lol. This last week I qualified with my m4. The m4 is sexy no joke, i love it. This week i have drivers training, signing up for classes, and some other shiz. Im tired of typing so Im going to bounce, Ill either come back to blog tonight or Monday night! Dueces

End of Procrastination
So I thought I would just hold off until I was actually in Korea to start writing this blog but, turns out I have nothing else to do. I might as well start now. I have had some hella mixed emotions as of late. I am beyond excited to see Korea, serve my country, and finally get to the "Real Army". But buried deep in the back of my mind, I keep thinking about my wife, my dog, my life without the Army. The few days I have been back from Ft. Chill have been amazing. Sleeping in the most uncomfortable bed, but with the most beautiful woman in the world is something I dont think I could ever get sick of. I have to leave her once again, but this time for a full year. From the get go, I VOLUNTEERED to go to Afraqistan(joke), just so long as I didnt end up in Korea.... The Army has its idea of a sick joke. To me its not like im walking into a warzone with IEDs, Taliban, insurgents... Im going to a hell hole that's just a ticking time bomb. I get to know who the enemy is. I can probably see them right across the parallel. But they have something the broke dick insurgents dont have.. a damn nuke. Instead of oh shit mortar fire hit the bunker.. Ill be busy trying to make myself a human pretzel to kiss my own ass goodbye. What I wouldnt do to deploy with the Strykers. What a wet dream. But anyway I was listening to music and this song came out so this is to my wife to be. Getting married this upcoming Tuesday. Wish me luck and prayers!
I'm going to ride this plane out of your life again.
I wish that I could stay but you argue.
More than this I wish you could've seen my face
In backseat staring out the window.
I'll do anything for you,
Kill anyone for you.
So leave yourself intact
'Cause I will be coming back.
In a phrase to cut these lips,
I love you.
The morning will come
In the press of every kiss
With your head upon my chest
Where I will annoy you
With every waking breath
Until you decide to wake up.
I've earned through hope and faith
The curves around your face
That I'm the one you'll hold forever.
If morning never comes for either one of us,
Then this I pray to you wherever.
I'll do anything for you.
This story is for you.
('Cause I'd do anything you want me to... for you.)
I'll do anything for you,
Kill anyone for you.
So leave yourself intact
'Cause I won't be coming back.
In a phrase to cut these lips,
I loved you.
The morning will come
In the press of every kiss
With your head upon my chest
Where I will annoy you
With every waking breath
Until you decide to wake up.

The Beginnings
Sweet action! So i've never been an online story teller, blogger, forum junkie, or anything of that nature. But after reading a book by Colby Buzzell( My War:Killing Time in Iraq) I figured I would give it a shot. His writing was so truthful and direct that it grabbed my attention and forced me to follow his story. So if you are reading this I encourage you to buy/rent it. You will not regret it.
A little background: I am a 23 year old serving in the United States Army. Ive worked retail my entire life. I hated my life. Getting people to spend money they didnt have was how I made my living. Not something to brag about. So I had my midlife crisis a few decades earlier, and decided I was going to do something to give back to this country we live in. I am a 13-D-Field Artillery Tactical Datea Systems Specialist. Without disrupting OPSEC, it's basically the computer guy behind the artillery. In late spring/early summer I deploy to Korea. I am going to be a newly wed husband with a dog named Maximo. He is more than a son to me, and probably the coolest dog you will ever meet. I mean people come over and are like..wow he really is the coolest dog on the planet. Just kidding but he is squared away.
It is the purpose of this "blog" to chronical the events of my time before deployment to being in theater, and finally back home. I will cover all aspects of life, not just military. So thank you for reading, and I will see you soon!
